About

I fell in love with photography in 1994 in the darkroom at The Haverford School. The first time I saw a photograph I took develop under the red lights and come to life, I was hooked.

My passion for photography has continued over the years, shooting 35mm film, to digital, to medium format on a 1941 Rolleiflex, and back to digital. But nothing has changed. For me it is all about preserving a certain feeling. When I look through the viewfinder, I’m not just seeing a scene; I’m searching for a connection. I strive for my photographs to evoke something in the viewer - nostalgia, joy, longing, peace.

Photography has taught me to be present. It reminds me that every second is meaningful. My goal is to give people the gift of being seen, and the audience the chance to connect. Long after a moment has passed, a feeling can still remain.
